Sarah Michelle Gellar Comes Back To TV - No More Buffy But "The Wonderful Maladys"

Sarah Michelle Gellar - superstar of the 90s with her hit television series, "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is rumored to be making a come-back as part of HBOs new series "The Wonderful Maladys."

Variety describes "The Wonderful Malady" as a half-hour show about the story of three siblings living in New York who lost their parents at a young age. Sarah Michelle Gellar's character is described as having "a kind of zealous immaturity — like a drug addict with a to-do list." This role was apparently written by Charles Randolph with her in mind

HBO recently bought the script and is aiming to shoot the single-camera pilot early next year. Gellar and Randolph will serve as exec producers should the project go forward, along with Brillstein Entertainment Partners.

Not exactly the put-together, super-heroine type she played in her well-acclaimed television series, but I'm sure going to be see if she can make the role her own. It would be nice to see her out of that "Buffy" stereotype everyone has her in.

It would be such a shame to lose sight of this very hot and very sexy celebrity. Just so you can relate to how much I admire her beauty and overall hotness, here's a review

Anyway, that's the way the worm turns so we should all get used to the rivalry of those 2. One thing I am concerned about is Christina Aguilera's image which hasn't changed much in 10 years. Considering she's been in the business for the last 10 years, growing from bubble gum pop to sexy party music still has her sporting the same look.

Although I prefer that over Britney's floor beaten look last year, so better no change than worse change? Still would be good for her to do "some" re-invention. That is after all how celebrities stay in business. It's going to be more difficult for her this time around when so many other talented singers have joined the rat race.

Miley Cyrus Goes To Church With Justin Gaston In Matching Wife Beaters

Going out on a date is quite normal, but going to church with a date is not really the same thing. I'd understand it if they just met each other in church, but that matching wife beaters really just says they planned the trip together.

It's very nice that Miley Cyrus and Justin Gaston, who's an underwear model, decided to be seen going to church instead of elsewhere. But to be seen wearing wife beaters is something else, some people may find that quite offensive, even if they are celebrities. Tsk Tsk, you guys are asking for unwanted attention. They should have known by now that everything they do will be under the scrutiny of their adoring and not-so-adoring public.

Miley Cyrus And Billy Ray Cyrus Versus Disney Channel On "The Hannah Montana Drama" - Miley Cyrus Fired?

Well I guess fame can get into your head. Miley Cyrus is crying wolf - or put more accurately crying "fired." With rumors flying that the 15-year-old superstar now wants out of the hit television sitcom "Hannah Montana" which made her famous in the first place, there is now drama on the television series' production set.

Emily Osment, co-star and best friend to Miley Cyrus' on screen persona can't even look at her now when not rolling camera, and news mentioned of both of their dads going at it in a screaming session as Miley Cyrus and father show up late these days to rehearsals and shootings. Emily Osment's dad claims Miley and Billy Ray are being "unprofessional" and rightly so.

Daddy Cyrus has been vocal about agreeing that Miley Cyrus will make more money getting into her music rather than the television show, whereas Miley has been mouthing off about getting fired! Now that's just not nice, is it?

More gossip on the subject would be that the Cyrus father and daughter tandem have threatened to stop coming to work after about 12 episodes but Disney claims they have to finish the season of 24 episodes with Disney planning to add in 6 more. This is one of the biggest messes in Disneyland history, quite bigger than the nude pictures of Vanessa Hudgens if I do say so myself.

Looks like Miley Cyrus' head is getting too big to stay with Disney channel. The latter have labeled them ingrates and probably rightly so. It's true the Disney may be milking the cow a little too much in this case but even so, Miley Cyrus still owes her fame to Disney channel - she should at least just finish the contract and break it off amicably. After all the scandals - getting pregnant issue, the almost naked photo shoot among other things have been fueling a lot of bad imagery for Miley Cyrus but Disney has stood right there beside her and have made her a superstar. Nobody would be watching her or her has-been father if she did not have that big a backer.

Katie Holmes recently premiered in Arthur Miller's play, “All My Sons,” and although there hasn't been that many raves about her acting - there haven't been any complaints either - which leads me to believe, she might still have a career left in show business that is not so tightly roped into her marriage to more famous half - Tom Cruise.

Unfortunately though, Tom Cruise's fame may also be Katie Holmes' downfall. Outside the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on Broadway at this week's preview to her new play, there were 30 protesters who wanted to "Free Katie" from Scientology, as her husband - that's Tom Cruise, was in the audience with his full entourage.

"Sex And The City" High School Edition?

"Sex and the City" is getting a little too desperate for my taste. I used to like "Sex and the City" a lot because it had a no-nonsense view of life and of course - sex. It was very straight-forward about women's views and women's lives, which made it very "relatable." They didn't seem to try too hard.

But this time around, we have Sex and the City author Candace Bushnell to write teen editions for Sex and the City, hmmm... milking the cow much? A little too much!

Entitled "Carrie's Diaries" the teen novels will narrate Carrie Bradshaw's high school years and will be published under Harper Collins. The books will provide an inside look at Carrie's friendships, romances and how she realised her dream of becoming a writer

Apparently they want to capitalize on Sarah Jessica's character as a stand-out person, as quoted "Carrie in high school did not follow the crowd - she led it. It was there that she began observing and commenting on the social scene."

The first book comes out in 2010. If it makes a good sell, you might want to expect it in the big screen or as a television series some time soon too.

A Nude Scene In Harry Potter's Last Movie Featuring Daniel Radcliffe?

The possibility of having a nude scene in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is rather disturbing. Interesting... yes, but even more so - it is quite disturbing. I have seen almost all of the earlier movies of Harry Potter with my daughter and I don't intend on bringing her for the last one if this is the case.

This is pure balderdash, as I have read the series and there is no hint of nudity there anywhere! Daniel Radcliffe is a handsome boy but they have to let go of his nude play. I saw the nude pictures that surfaced on the internet of some naughty audience member taking snaps during the Equus play he starred in.

I would have purely dismissed it as something absurd and not worth paying any attention to until I read his commentary on multiple publications that quote Daniel Radcliffe saying...

“At first I thought I’d have pants (underwear) on for the scene. Apparently not,” said Radcliffe adding that his “Equus” play has prepared him for this naked scene. “But I’ve sort of done that before on stage. It’s all old hat now, really.”

He's a big boy now and looks a lot like Elijah Wood to me with the transition from boyhood to more adult roles and it is rather unnerving. Well I guess boys have to grow up right?

Here's the alleged "nude" picture of Daniel Radcliffe, not much to see actually. There are a lot of people on stage, and it doesn't look lewd at all. In fact it's quite artistic and nobody seems to care. Feels like one of those nudist colonies where it just doesn't bother them anymore.

The Mandarin, Iron Man’s classic Asian crime-lord adversary, will most likely show up in part two slowly unfolding into the 3rd screen franchise. The challenge lies in introducing The Mandarin’s mystical origins into an already established high-tech universe.

Lindsay Lohan And Samantha Ronson May Get Hitched Before The Year Ends!

A lot of rumors have been flying around declaring a possible matrimonial union between Samantha Ronson (30) and Lindsay Lohan (22). Although Lindsay's Daddy Lohan is not exactly approving of his daughter's relationship to DJ girlfriend Sam, his commentary on their relationship back-firing on him has had him keeping mum about the issue.

Nothing against them if this makes them happy. They should just do it if they want to. People will talk no matter what they do anyway. They are both very visible in social circles, and they are not shy with showing public display of affection. This of course just fuels the rumors on their so-called "more than friends" relationship, which Lindsay Lohan's rep claims to be ridiculous.

Moving on to more concrete proof is the rather big and shiny heart shaped diamond engagement ring that Lindsay Lohan has been sporting! Now if that isn't an attention-grabber I don't know what is. When Politicians And Celebrities Collide

These days I guess, aside from being a charismatic and eloquent leader, you'll also have to be celebrity potential to make it in politics. Candidates Sarah Palin and Barack Obama have both scheduled so-called appearances on Saturday Night Live. Although I do agree it is one of the most-watched television shows of all time but I see enough of them in the news already!

Anyway if they do want to make waves, I guess that will have to be the way to go. Tina Fey has been slotted to play Sarah Palin in Saturday Night Live's famous impersonations. That should be pretty good.

Sarah Palin's family life has been scrutinized along with her fashion sense - which isn' so bad I think. Now that both parties are entering the celebrity arena, it's no wonder why Paris Hilton would react to McCain.

I think politicians have come to realize that show business is the best way to brain wash people. It's the best way to reach people and also the most entertaining way, enough so that audiences won't find politicians boring at the same time see them in a positive light - in the same way that everyone wants to look up to Brangelina and talk about celebrities, my guess is they're looking for the same impact.

Terminator Evolution - From Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger To Hottie Summer Glau

The terminator series started with now-governor Arnold Schwarzenegger leading the rage, he wasn't even American then I think but he did get the cyborg thing down so that panned down okay. Terminator was a major box office hit. Not only was it teemed with amazing gadgets and state-of-the-art robotic features, it also boasted of an original story-line of a robot from the future sent to destroy and later protect a child who was to become the pivotal character in shaping the world's destiny.

Looking back on it now makes me feel nostalgic at the same time sad. Today there are so many stories alike it's hard to find anything as original. Back then, it was so novel you'd understand why they're still trying to revive "Terminator" again and again.

But now that the story is no longer original, "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" follows the story of Sarah, played by Lena Headey, and son John, played by Thomas Dekker, after they decide to stop running from a destructive race of evil machines from the future and fight back against them. Cameron (played by Summer Glau), who herself is a robot, acts as a guardian to John so that he might one day fulfill his prophecy as the savior of mankind. This story stems from the old series - what they've found that's original is hot new terminator in the person of Summer Glau. This is a good thing too.

Although Arnold Schwarzenegger is iconic as the terminator and no one can ever debate that he made the franchise as profitable as it is now, but suffice it to say - recreating another ala Arnold Schwarzenegger personality would have been very difficult.

With female empowerment all over the news, and men would are quite open to see hot girls kick butt, the new terminator I think has grown her own following. I saw that there was even a poll to compare Arnold Schwarzenegger and Summer Glau to see who was the better terminator! I vote Summer hands down, way hotter!




Previously, Glau has appeared in other sci-fi roles such as River Tam on USA's "Firefly" and Tess Doerner on "The 4400."



She used to be a tango dancer if you could believe that, and got hurt so she had to take odd jobs so ended up in the acting business! Good for us!

Snotty Lindsay Lohan Turns Down Playboy And $700,000

For Playboy's 55th anniversary edition, they approached Lindsay Lohan to pose for the cover of the magazine in “Kitten With a Whip” theme, which starred Ann-Margret, it would have been dead sexy!

Now apparently snotty Lindsay Lohan who has been photographed nude before refused this offer and also refused $700,000! That's just nonsense I tell you. She probably wanted more money. Why pose for the Marilyn Monroe shoot that was equally barely clad and not pose for Playboy? A little hypocritical don't you think?

Rather contradictory to what her rep replied Lohan was “flattered” by the offer, but felt, at this point in her career, the 22-year-old doesn’t need to take her clothes off.

Spiderman Comes Back To The Big Screen

9 years after the first Spiderman debut, Tobey Maguire and Sam Raimi are looking to release another set of Spiderman movies after the trilogy -- a 4th and 5th installment of the very successful movie franchise will certainly mean they have more expectations to beat. A sequel is already bad enough. Tobey Maguire will have to be better than ever if he has to be Peter Parker again. Rumor is the best way to film it on a shoe string budget is to film them side by side similar to the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy.

No villains have been cast yet, although they are hoping to have Kirsten Dunst back as Mary Jane. There's also speculation that a spin-off "Venom" will be hitting the screens some time soon. It was one of the best good guy/ bad guy effect, having Venom & Spiderman in the 3rd installment. That will indeed be hard to beat.

MTV Video Music Awards - So Who's Going To Be There?

If you've seen the initial teasers, you can be sure that Russel Brand will most likely stir up prankster mayhem while he hosts the VMAs.

Britney Spears will open though show though unclear how. As her reps have mentioned she will NOT be performing. On the other hand, Kanye West will be performing. This list includes Christina Aguilera's first televised performance after child birth to a revised tune of her career-launching hit "Genie in a Bottle." The roster of performers are Jonas Brothers, Rihanna, T.I., Pink, Kid Rock, the Ting Tings, Lupe Fiasco, Lil Wayne and Katy Perry.


In terms of appearances though, MTV has pulled out all the stops by making sure there will be celebrities like Shia LaBeouf, Taylor Swift, Jamie Foxx, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, Kobe Bryant, Paris Hilton, Leona Lewis, Chace Crawford and the Hills gang. There's also rumor of Michael Jackson probably showing up for his happy creepy 50th year

HBO's True Blood Premiers On Sunday - Watch Out For Ryan Kwanten

HBO's newest series piggy backs on the feverish vampire zeitgeist that has hit the airwaves. Just minutes after Stephenie Meyer concludes her phenomenal book series - Twilight about a vampire love affair, and just a few months after the televisions series Moonlight came to a screeching halt after just its first season, I think True Blood has come right in time, for everybody who's just aching for a sexy vampire story.

Right on the heels of Interview with the Vampire, the HBO series imagines a world where humans and vampires co-exist openly with this new drink called "True Blood" that is supposedly synthetic blood in a bottle.

Appearing in the series are Ryan Kwanten from Summerland and Anna Paquin who starred as Rogue in the X-Men movies. Ryan is a womanizer in this series and you'll catch him in many a compromising position in each episode, it is sure to be sexy!
