Britney Spears Released From 14-Day Hospital Detainment Only After 4 Days

A week after being committed to the psychiatric ward at UCLA Medical Center, Britney Spears has been released, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

Unlike her entrance to the hospital last week, Britney’s release from the UCLA Medical Center went apparently undetected, a source close to the situation told Access Hollywood.

However, shortly after she left the hospital, news helicopters followed Britney as she drove a black Mercedes through LA. Each time her car came to a stop, the cameras captured hordes of paparazzi swarming the car as she sat in the driver’s seat with her window down.

According to an eye witness, shortly after 3PM, Britney entered the Beverly Hills Hotel.
Around 12 PM, Britney left the hospital through a back entrance. She was accompanied by an LAPD escort and may have changed cars as many as three times, the source added.

Police escorted Britney to the freeway, but did not accompany her to her home off of Mulholland Drive. Flanked by police and paramedics, Britney was committed last Thursday on what was supposed to be a 72-hour hold. However when her 72 hours were up on Sunday, her stay was extended for what was supposed to be an additional 14 days.

Now, just four days later, she has been released.

It is unknown, the source said, who is with Britney or who is at her home.
