Sharon Stone's Booboo Against China

Sharon Stone has never been known to be shy. Just check out this photo I found of her. I never thought she was tactless though. Sharon Stone commented - in utter and blatant tactlessness that the tragedy that's befalling China is as a result of karma. Imagine saying that in front of the world. Now unfortunately for her, when a blockbuster celebrity like her speaks up, people take notice and yes they react.

It wasn't even a serious conversation she had when she mentioned this in front of the world, after mentioning the Tibet unrest she said in the comment replayed on video-sharing Web site YouTube: "And then all this earthquake and all this stuff happened, and I thought, is that karma -- when you're not nice that the bad things happen to you?"

As a result Reuters reported that luxury retailer Christian Dior has pulled advertisements featuring Sharon Stone from stores across China after the actress suggested the country's earthquake was "bad karma" for Beijing's policies in Tibet.

"Due to some customer reaction we have decided to pull her image from all of the department stores and from all of China," Christian Dior China said in a statement.

Sharon Stone already apologised for her comments in remarks carried in Chinese media on Thursday.
