Jury Convicts Uma Thurman's Stalker

Uma Thurman's stalker, Jack Jordan, was convicted by jury in the State Supreme Court in Manhattan last Tuesday. He was found guilty of stalking Uma Thurman and second-degree aggravated harassment.

There was a great deal of argument going back and forth with the defense trying to convince the jury that Jack Jordan was meek and harmless - merely acting out a foolish infatuation for Uma Thurman while the prosecution insisted that Jack Jordan's advances were NOT harmless and in fact terrifying. The latter I agree with. He won't be locked up for long though as he will just be kept in jail for a month to undergo psychiatric examination before he is sentenced.

But I say he is absolutely scary. Uma Thurman should hire more bodyguards. Don't think her handsome boyfriend (in image) can help her much here

Uma Thurman Tearful And Terrified As She Testified Against Her Stalker. Is She For Real?

Uma Thurman testified against her stalker Jack Jordan last Thursday in room 1300 in the Manhattan Criminal Court building. Her hands were visibly shaking as she read Jordan's creepy letters. She didn't even look at the defense table where Jack Jordan was seated. She must have truly been terrified. Others doubt though if it was for real or if it was a really good actress doing some really good acting?

Uma Thurman shed tears when she started talking about her kids Maya, 9, and Levon, 6 - by her ex-husband Ethan Hawke. They co-starred in that awesome movie - Gattaca.

Anyway as she read a letter in which Jordan fantasized that her children didn't exist, when she told how she postponed their return from summer vacation because Jordan had camped out on their stoop. "I live alone," she vented, her frustration audible. "I have two children. I didn't have the ability to protect them," according to NY Daily News

That must have been truly terrifying having to endure that. I do hope they lock him up. He looks and sounds absolutely scary.

Uma Thurman Stalker Of 3 Years Harasses Thurman Parents Now On Trial

Now on trial is Jack Jordan, 37 and former mental hospital patient now stands trial for stalking and harassing Uma Thurman and her family. News state that this has been going on for 3 years now - since late 2004.

The poor man actually thinks he is in love with Uma Thurman and that their lives are meant to be "pre-ordained" was the word used. Both her parents (Birgitte and Dr. Robert Thurman) tried to talk him out of it but it didn't work

At this point though, they arrived in court because the man now threated to kill himself if he wasn't allowed to see Uma Thurman.

A Reuters article mentioned that in phone conversations with Uma Thurman's mother and brother, Jordan said that he would kill himself if he was not put in touch with the actress, family members testified.

The actress, who turned 38 on Tuesday, has received threatening messages in the past, including someone calling himself Anthony who sent an open switch-blade knife, her father said.

His lawyers are pleading insanity and probably rightly so because he clearly has a problem separating reality from fantasy. This is not a unique problem, but when you start harassing people and threatening them then it becomes a danger
