Iron Man Returns With Mickey Rourke and Scarlet Johannson

Iron Man has got to be bigger this time around after the success of the first installment. Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark) was absolutely hot the first time around. I think they intend to take it further casting Mickey Rourke (Vanko) & Scarlet Johansson (Black Widow) as part of the new cast. I hope they don't make the plot too complicated to turn off kids

Iron Man 2: Mickey Rourke and Scarlett Johansson Are In

Mickey Rourke and Scarlett Johansson have confirmed that they will be joining the cast of Iron Man 2. Mickey Rourke will play the Russian villain Whiplash using elements from another comic book bad guy, Crimson Dynamo.



Scarlett Johansson will play Black Widow. And don't forget Robert Downey Jr. is still playing our hot hero and Samuel L. Jackson is still on to play sneering S.H.I.E.L.D. leader Nick Fury.

The Iron Man sequel set to come out in 2010, will have Jan Favreau again in the director's seat. He has confirmed that Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark), Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts) and Terrance Howard ( James “Rhodey” Rhodes) are all back and excited to continue the story, whil Jan Favreau will play a cameo as Happy Hogan.

“Integrating social and political themes into the adventure and fantasy” will primarily be the story-line for the next Iron Man flick.

The Mandarin, Iron Man’s classic Asian crime-lord adversary, will most likely show up in part two slowly unfolding into the 3rd screen franchise. The challenge lies in introducing The Mandarin’s mystical origins into an already established high-tech universe.

There have been speculation that for sure Robert Downey will do a superb job just as he did Iron Man. It was indeed impressive. A great come-back for him from the drunkard rehab guy to once-again celebrity superstar. But that Guy Ritchie might not have the same hollywood appeal to pull-off a box office hit movie. We'll have to wait and see

It looks like "The Incredible Hulk" is not taking any chances in terms of going big time. Starring Edward Norton as this year's green guy - Bruce Banner, he is joined by none other than the luscious Live Tyler as his love interest, Elizabeth "Betty" Ross.

Also to spice things up just a tiny bit, Robert Downey Jr. plays a cameo role here as Tony Stark from Iron Man. I think if Iron Man wasn't such a big hit, we probably won't see him here.

I saw "Iron Man" on its opening weekend so I contributed to the $100 million opening figure it claims. And I have to say it was worth it. Robert Downey Jr. was just delicious as he portrayed Tony Starks. The man may need rehabilitation but he is one great actor.

The plot itself was true to the comic book hero, although it has a few minor adjustments to suit modern-day scenarios, the movie will not disappoint "Iron Man" fans.

It has been said the "Iron Man" is only second to "Spider-man" in terms of biggest opening for a nonsequel, but I tell you "Iron Man" is even better than "Spider-man" - and the reason I say that is because Tony Starks is very human. He's a lazy ass, pompous ego-maniac who just decided he thinks becoming Iron Man is the right thing to do. Doesn't get any more real than that.

The sequel sounds exciting as well, since the cameo of Samuel L. Jackson who is just amazing - so the next Iron Man is bound to be much better
