Britney Spears Sets The Record Straight - What Happened During The Last Few Years From The Horse's Mouth, Watch Britney Explain Herself Here

Britney Spears wants to set the record straight. Now that her life is "sort of" back on track, Britney's taking on some damage control with what's left of her "reputable" image (if there is still such a thing) by going into a 90-minute documentary that sets the record straight about her return to the pop music spotlight.

"For the Record" gives showcases a more mature, reflective pop princess, as she questions her behavior over the last couple of years and sheds some light on what it's like to be her on a daily basis.

The documentary, which premiered two days before the December 2 release of her new LP, "Circus," provides a glimpse of Spears' life as she prepares for the album's release and includes photo shoots, dance rehearsals and time with her two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston.

Here's part one of the video from MTV

And here's part two

These are only two videos of five parts. You can see the full clip on MSN
She's still quite beautiful. I think it's a lot of bull and excuses for the most part, she talks about Kevin Federline and Justin Timberlake. It's nice to see her speak for herself after all this time of havoc in her life when everyone else seemed to speak for her.

Britney Spears admits to difficulty and confusion, dissatisfaction and just about not knowing what to do - just like the rest of us common people. It does sound quite honest. Take a look for yourself and let me know

Britney Spears in yet ANOTHER come-back

Now how many times can a celebrity make a come-back? Would it be fair to keep count? Britney Spears for whom this blog has been named has been in and out of soggy relationships, forced hospitalizations and nervous breakdowns over the last few years with several futile attempts at making it "big" again in Hollywood.

Unfortunately none of them really worked that well. Right now there is yet another drastic effort to make yet ANOTHER come-back with her new album "Circus." I do like the album cover - sexy and fresh for her. Quite different from the mess we usually see on the tabloids or on the news.

Britney has apparently picked herself up from the ashes. She's spending more time with her kids, avoiding the wild nights with Daddy of course managing her affairs, and staying out of publicly defacing relationships! Good for Britney! I do hope that keeps up.

She's doing a candid documentary where she talks about the struggles of her last few years, which is good considering she has so much bad publicity piled up against her, hearing her speak up might be a good try at somehow repairing what's left of such a damaged image.

Then again, it had better be produced properly and shot when she's sober and sane or things will only get worse.

To assess for yourself, check out "Britney: For the Record" which airs this Sunday at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV. The production company @radical.media followed the singer for three months, beginning Sept. 7, the day she appeared on the MTV Video Music Awards. Tuesday, her 27th birthday, her new album Circus goes on sale.

Just at the right time to promote her album and do some Britney Spears image damage control

The Secret Britney Spears Video From MSN

After the outright denial of Britney Spears' reps on her performing for the MTV video music awards, MSN cameras captured this delicious piece of video that shows Britney Spears and company rehearsing a new song.

Caption says no wonder she's been in hiding because she looks hot. And she does too. It seems we are beginning to witness the resurrection of Britney Spears' career. Let's hope it's for good

Britney Spears Promotes MTV Video Music Awards With Russell Brand In Video Ads

Here's Britney Spears with Russell Brand and an elephant. These videos promote the coming VMA for MTV - that's the Video Music Awards for MTV. It's quite simple and cute too. Britney looks quite hot and Russell a tad funny and sexy with that accent - if it's possible we can just cover his face, that would be a lot better.

Here's another video for MTV's VMA, hope it works out and Britney actually shows up and look good for a change, unlike the very controversial performance she had last month. She looks quite candid in this video and that's a good change.

Another High School Musical Wannabe - The American Mall From MTV

Just right on the heels of Camp Rock which was a poor replica of High School Musical, MTV has decided to ride the teen hormone wave by dumping in one of their own. The American Mall is set to air this Monday August 11, so all you teenie boppers out there get out the remote and TIVO in!

The typical stereotypes are here plus a little more hint of manipulation, disguised as a movie about dreams and hopes which all fall within the music industry. Get ready for a ride almost just like High School Musical (but not quite).

Obviously High School Musical must have struck a nerve - a potential million dollar industry nerve to have sparked so many followers. Well imitation is a form of flattery.

Starring Nina Dobrev of “Degrassi: The Next Generation” as the lead - Ally, Rob Mayes as the handsome mall janitor turned rock star, Joey; Autumn Reeser from the “The O.C.” stars as the resident bad girl (or Sharpay to analogize High School Musical).

So here's a sample trailer from The American Mall

Jonas Brothers First Act For MTV Movie Awards

The Jonas brothers are finally stepping up. Being on the heels of Miley Cyrus/ Hannah Montana, it's nice to see someone else get in the spotlight as well. Jonas Brothers is scheduled to be the first act for the coming MTV Movie Awards. This implies 2 things.

  1. The Jonas Brothers have finally become marketable commodities. They are now worthy of stepping on the same stage where Madonna and Britney have stood in their better days. The star power quality has been acknowledged.
  2. MTV is turning to a much younger crowd - younger screaming girl crowd to be more specific. This is a double edged sword for MTV. It seems MTV wants to target the younger audiences with the seemingly wholesome Jonas Brothers while still trying to be edgy with Mike Myers hosting the show

Become Paris Hilton's New Best Friend! And Be Featued In MTV's New Reality Show

Well it looks like Paris Hilton has ran out of best friends. After all that tension with her last "best friend" Nicole Richie, who starred with her on A Simple Life, now Paris Hilton's quest for a new best friend will be a reality show! Just like the Amazing Race perhaps? Or Fear Factor?

Apparently twenty men and women will compete to be the 27-year-old socialite's new "BFF" (best friend forever) on the show, which will appear on MTV.

BBC News says the 20 finalists then move into a house with Hilton, learning "normal girl stuff" like fashion and shopping - not quite the normal girl stuff but more like the normal "millionaire heiress girl stuff"

You can audition on MTV's Paris BFF site and you can also vote Paris Hilton's next best friend! So if you just don't have a friend in the world - like this poor little rich heiress or are just dying to become rich and famous and probably get humiliated or embarrassed and eventually become famous, this is the reality show for you!
