Can Jennifer Lopez handle American Idol?

"I can't do this anymore, " said Jennifer Lopez as she wept, while voting to kick off Chris Medina. This is all new to me," the singer explained to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Thursday, according to People Magazine. "I'm used to having a script in a movie, or a big performance with a cane and a microphone, and I have all kinds of stuff going on ... You're [not always] getting me."

Looks like it's all-out drama in the newest season of American Idol. I've got nothing against it, but I think they should have a judge with balls much like Simon Cowell. It takes a lot of guts and a lot of confidence to be able to boot someone out and say to their face that they won't make it. And sometimes some people just can't handle it. It's too bad that Jennifer Lopez is having a hard time. I think she's a great artist and can probably spot a star when she sees/ hears it better than previous judges, but if the pressure is just affecting her like that maybe this isn't the job for her - right?

American Idol is also quite the heart wrencher, bringing in all these sensational stories about people's past. Of course people will be vulnerable to seeing someone physically disabled or have someone in their life who's sick. The great back stories are being put way up front and can cloud people's judgement on who really has talent.

Fox just made it official: Ellen DeGeneres' much-criticized tenure as the fourth judge on "American Idol" has sputtered to an end after just one season. I sort of liked her there. It's too bad that Simon Cowell also left just recently.

American Idol must be trying to get out of a rut, given nine seasons? That's a long time to keep momentum though. They've managed to get this far. They must be running on profit already.

Remaining judges will be Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi. They'll have to find another demon judge to be as blunt and entertainingly hateful as Simon Cowell. Rumor is Jennifer Lopez is about to join the gang, her music experience is okay I guess. But how good she is at being candid I'm not so sure.

This will have to be an exercise in re-energizing and rebranding the show. Good luck!

Jennifer Lopez has joined the bandwagon for reality shows as she has signed on to star in an unscripted series for TLC following the stylish actress-singer-dancer-businesswoman as she juggles her career with mommy duty according to AP.

The yummy mummy who just gave birth to twins is now back to work. TLC reporting that Jennifer Lopez will co-create, co-executive produce, and star in a new docu-series. Okay, so what won't she do?

Five weeks after giving birth to twins Jennifer Lopez already has the kind of figure that puts her in the running to top Hollywood's yummy mummy list according to Hello Magazine

Her curves shown off to perfection in a flattering Grecian dress, the Latina bombshell was enjoying one of her first nights out with husband Mark Anthony since Max and Emme's arrival on February 22. The pair were attending the screening of the Rolling Stones documentary Shine A Light.

Their appearance at the New York premiere was a tad more polished than a previous outing ten days ago when they appeared to be suffering from the effects of challenges faced by all new parents.

This time around J Lo was looking her usual glamorous self in a chic up-do and lots of sparkling jewellery. And onlookers must have wondered how the actress and singer managed to shed the 50lbs she put on during pregnancy.

J. Lo's Twins Have Names! Jennifer Lopez Names Her Twins

E! Online announced that J.Lo and Marc Anthony's newborn twins are—sweetly, simply—named Max and Emme, Lopez's manager, Simon Fields, confirmed to People Friday.

The children were born Feb. 22 at a Long Island hospital, with Emme arriving at 12:12 a.m., weighing 5 pounds, 7 ounces, and her 6-pound little brother showing up at 12:23 a.m.

These are the first offspring for Lopez, while Anthony has three other children from two previous relationships.

Adding to the secrecy surrounding Lopez's pregnancy, which she and Anthony didn't even confirm until November, the couple refrained from announcing their kids' names until the frenzy over the births had died down.

"If they have [named the babies], they're not disclosing them—good for them," Lopez publicist Leslie Sloane-Zelnik told E! News the day Max and Emme were born.

Lopez and Anthony toted the tots home to their Long Island manse—where they have constructed a swank new nursery for their brood—on Feb. 25.

Breaking news just in from Reuters -- Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony became the parents of twins early on Friday in a New York-area hospital, according to People magazine, which reportedly paid upward of $6 million for the photo rights.

The boy and girl, delivered in a Long Island, New York, hospital, were the first for the 38-year-old actress and singer, whose efforts to become pregnant have filled tabloid pages in the past few years. Anthony, a 39-year-old salsa singer, has a daughter and two sons from two previous relationships.

Lopez did not confirm her much-rumored pregnancy until early November, when she announced the news to a Miami audience while on a concert tour with her husband.

The trade publication Advertising Age reported earlier this week that People magazine was poised to pay the couple between $4 million and $6 million for exclusive U.S. rights to the first photos of the twins.

Via MSNBC's Access Hollywood, Jennifer Lopez's dad, David Lopez confirmed that J.Lo is indeed having twins. The elder Lopez’s admission is the first official confirmation from the singer’s family.

"Yes, twins,” he told the Spanish language TV show, People reported. “The thing is in my family, my sister also had twins, so it's a hereditary thing," he said.

And he already has gifts for the impending arrivals. "In Puerto Rico it's custom to buy an azabache [jet black, stone] bracelet for babies to protect them from the evil eye, it's part of our culture," he said.
