The Return Of Shannen Doherty a.k.a. Brenda Walsh As Musical Director To Beverly Hills 90210

It's confirmed ladies and gentlemen, Shannen Doherty is returning to the set of Beverly Hills 90210 as Brenda Walsh. And this time she's a famous musical director. Seems like this television series wants to kick off with something in the "High School Musical" direction.

Wouldn't be so bad considering they're trying to target high school to college audiences. The series spin-off will premiere on Sept. 2 and everyone is quite excited.

They're already pairing up the possible scenarios of how Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth might get along... or not. They're all geared to play recurring guest roles.

But overall the mood is quite positive with the return of Tori Spelling, Shannen Doherty and Jenny Garth. No one seems to foresee the tragedy of the 90's so this might be worth the watch. If not for the actual show... maybe just for the gossip.

Shannen Doherty Goes Back To Beverly Hills 90210

This is going to be an exciting new series when you have old frenemies in the pit ready to reprise their roles. We already know the Jenny Garth is returning to reprise her role in the upcoming series spin-off to Beverly Hills 90210, and so will Tori Spelling will do the same. But now a new name has been pulled out of the ballot box - Shannen Doherty.

Well, well, well! This will indeed be worth the wait. Shannen hasn't agreed to play the role yet but has publicly announced interest in the show. Apparently she is being difficult AGAIN. Jenny Garth and Shannen Doherty didn't get along years ago, and there's nothing to make us believe they'll get along now. But who cares? We all want a cat fight! That's show business right? Everyone wants to watch Shannen be bi*chy.

Anyway I will definitely with to see how this unfolds.

Beverly Hills 90210 Spinoff To Star Tori Spelling And Jennie Garth

Fans of the 90's hit Beverly Hills 90210 will get to relive the drama in CW's spinoff series that airs in the fall. Apparently Jennie Garth will revive her character "Kelly Taylor " as a guidance counselor this time in West Beverly Hills High, while Tori Spelling will also be there as "Donna Martin." If you remember the old series, she was the spoiled rich girl.

That's certainly something to watch out for as they still look pretty hot, I wonder how they will fare beside the younger Beverly Hills belles -- Degrassi: The Next Generation's Henae Grimes, Lori Loughlin who also starred in "Summerland" and "Full House," Annalynne McCord of "Nip/Tuck" and not to mention new hottie Dustin Milligan from the series "Runaway."

Looks like it's going to be a show that's easy on the eyes

Beverly Hill 90210 To Be Revived In New Spin-off Series!

Fans of Beverly Hills 90210 will be very excited to hear about its semi-comeback in a spin-off series that may feature stars from the original television sitcom - if you've forgotten them, here they are again: Tori Spelling, Luke Perry, Shannon Doherty, Jason Priestley, Jenny Garth.

ET on Canada.com just released news on Meet the Mills, the three-generational Beverly Hills clan at the center of the CW's contemporary Beverly Hills 90210 spinoff. A detailed breakdown for the pilot, released Monday night, sheds more light on the plot and the characters of the untitled show.

Rob Thomas (Dawson's Creek, Veronica Mars) is writing the spinoff, which, like the original 90210, revolves around a family with two teen kids the same age -- a boy and a girl -- who recently moved from the Midwest to Beverly Hills.

But this time, the dad, Harry Mills, is a Beverly Hills High alum who moved after graduation and settled in East St. Louis. He is forced to come back when his 1970s movie star mother's alcohol problem gets out of control. Joining him are his wife, Celia, a former Olympic medalist; biological daughter Annie; and adopted son Dixon.

The script breakdown includes five other characters, four of them 16-year-old students at Beverly Hills High. None appears directly related to any of the characters on the original series, although 16-year-old Daphne Silver and her twentysomething brother, Max Silver, have the same last name as David Silver (Brian Austin Green), who married Donna Martin (Tori Spelling) in the original 90210 series finale.

Although Max may be too old to be David's son, it nevertheless is intriguing that he and his sister live alone in a mansion while their parents have been "on a cruise" for as long as anyone can remember.

The spinoff also reflects the current reality at Beverly Hills High, where about 40 percent of the students are of Persian descent: One of the students in the show is named Navid Shirazi.

To get the high-profile project ready for the network's "upfront" presentations to advertisers in May, CW and producing studio CBS Paramount Network TV began casting before the script's completion, a practice employed by other networks during the abbreviated post-writers'-strike pilot season.

Will it be the same hit it was decades ago? Or will it just be a 2nd rate imitation? We'll find out soon enough.
